I have just filed my Statement of Candidacy to be a candidate for the U.S. House of Representatives in Texas's 2nd Congressional District.

I would love to have the opportunity to chat live with you about why I am running for Congress and what my platform priorities are.

What I think will be most notable about my candidacy is that I will clearly be the candidate of fiscal discipline in this race. My number one concern is the alarming amount of federal debt that we as a nation are burdened by. It is clear that the Republicans in Congress either don't share my concern for our shocking debt levels and/or they don't understand economics and the devastating financial impact that our egregious debt levels will certainly and inevitably have on our great nation, particularly on our young people.

The fact that the US House passed the One Big Beautiful Bill is further evidence that the Republican Party has lost any sense of fiscal responsibility and prudence. This is not the Republican Party that I knew 15 or 20 years ago.

We need adults in the room (Congress) and I don't feel that I can stand by any longer and watch our nation fall into financial ruin. I hope other candidates across the country will feel the same calling I do to put fiscally responsible adults back into Congress.
